Ebi Nigiri
Ebi Nigiri is a traditional Japanese sushi dish that has fresh spot shrimp on top of sushi rice that has been seasoned. When you mix the sweet shrimp with the sour rice, you get a wonderful flavor combination.
Ingredients:
- 6 pieces spot shrimp Ebi
- 1 cup sushi rice
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Wasabi paste
- Soy sauce
- Pickled ginger
Instructions:
Prepare sushi rice according to package instructions
In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved
Fold this mixture into the cooked sushi rice
Slice spot shrimp in half lengthwise, removing any veins
Take a small amount of sushi rice and shape it into an oblong mound
Place a piece of spot shrimp on top of the rice, pressing gently to adhere
Serve with wasabi paste, soy sauce, and pickled ginger
