Slow Cooker Chicken Gloria
Slow Cooker Chicken Gloria is a rich and creamy dish made with mushroom and wine sauce and tender chicken breasts. Just right for a cozy dinner at home
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
- 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat with flour
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown chicken on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side
Transfer chicken to slow cooker
In the same skillet, saut mushrooms, onion, bell peppers, and garlic until softened, about 5 minutes
Pour chicken broth and white wine into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits
Pour mixture over chicken in the slow cooker
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until chicken is cooked through and tender
Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese during the last 30 minutes of cooking
Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving
