Sushi Rice Recipe

This recipe for sushi rice makes sticky rice that is perfectly seasoned and needed to make tasty sushi rolls.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear

Combine rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturers instructions

In a small saucepan, heat rice vinegar, sugar, and salt over low heat until the sugar and salt dissolve

Transfer cooked rice to a large bowl and gently fold in the vinegar mixture until well combined

Fan the rice while gently stirring to cool it down to room temperature
