Pumpkin Nutella Swirl Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C
Grease and flour a 9x9 inch baking pan
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat
Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined
Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan
Drop spoonfuls of Nutella onto the brownie batter
Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the Nutella into the batter, creating a marbled effect
In another bowl, mix the pumpkin puree with the chopped nuts if using
Drop spoonfuls of the pumpkin mixture onto the brownie batter, and swirl gently with a knife or toothpick
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares
