Healthier Flourless Chocolate Cake
With this delicious and healthier flourless chocolate cake recipe, you can indulge in a guilt-free treat. This cake, made with ripe avocados and naturally sweetened, is a delicious option for those looking for a decadent dessert without refined sugar.
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and grease a cake pan
Cut the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a food processor
Add the cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract to the food processor
Blend the ingredients until smooth and well combined
Pour the batter into the greased cake pan
Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the cake is set
You can test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center it should come out mostly clean
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a while before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
Once cooled, you can optionally dust the cake with a little cocoa powder or powdered sugar
