Classic Glazed Donuts
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until a dough forms
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it out to 1/2-inch thickness
Using a donut cutter or a round cookie cutter, cut out donut shapes
Make a hole in the center of each donut using a smaller cutter
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350F 175C
Carefully place donuts in the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through
Remove donuts with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil
In a separate bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, hot water, and vanilla extract to make the glaze
Dip each donut into the glaze, ensuring its well-coated, and place it on a wire rack to set
Allow the glaze to set for about 15 minutes before serving
